Danger Bad Boy Review

Danger Bad Boy by April Brookshire
The second book in the Beware of Bad boy series
Pages:175
Format: ebook
Review: 5/5 stars
Goodreads description: Caleb and Gianna went from being enemies to friends to falling for each other. They hid their new relationship from the one person who would try to keep them apart.

But now their secret was out and they were fighting to stay together. Running away wouldn't solve their problems, but it allowed them a break from real life.

Unfortunately, new problems arose. Caleb still fought giving all of himself to Gianna and Gianna tried to hide the hurt it caused her.

When opposition becomes too strong and they are forced apart, will Caleb be able to win Gianna back?

WARNING: This book contains strong language, violence and sexual content not suitable for younger readers.

Writing: This book is an easy read. It was funny and quirky but also deals with some problems that could be found in daily life. I believe it was quite realistic and the way it was written turned it into a really enjoyable read.
Characters: I liked how the relationship between Caleb and Gianna develops and how their feelings for each other got stronger with every page. I also like the different kind of attitude each character have and how they react in each situation.
Plot: The plot was well developed and had lots of ups and downs. It covers not just the way high school life is from a student's point of view but also the types of people that one may come across during any age. The book deals with domestic abuse from an obsessive ex-boyfriend and it brings to our attention the idea that we should take more care about the abuses teenagers go through.
Overall: I enjoyed this book. It is a funny well-written book that could be read and reared at any age. If you haven't read it yet, go and pick it up... :)

Beware of bad boy- Review

I just happened to remember why I liked this book so much. Going over the annoying situations (at least I found some things a little annoying at times), the reread made me see everything with different eyes and enjoy it way more the second time around.

Goodreads description:
THE BAD BOY
Before I met Gianna, I’d thought I was living life to the fullest, wild and carefree. Now that I had her in my life I understood what it really meant to feel alive.

THE GIRL
Until I met Caleb, I wasn’t sure beauty existed on my inside. With him in my life, I not only saw that beauty to my core but also in my world around me.

Gianna has everything going for her, beauty, popularity and the jock boyfriend to match. Too bad it all makes her miserable. Living her life based on other peoples’ expectations isn’t making her happy. She has only one escape and she guards that secret life fiercely.

Caleb has everything he wants, the freedom to do as he likes and plenty of opportunities to do it. With a revolving door of girls in and out of his life, he has no interest in getting tied down. Kicked out of another school, his mom sends him to live with his dad.

Gianna hates her new stepbrother on sight.

Caleb thinks she’s a hollow beauty.

Then he finds out her secret and uses it to get to know the real her.

Changing who he is forever.

Mature YA contemporary romance.

I enjoyed the story very much. The characters were well built, the plot twist was mind-blowing and the ending... OH MY GOD! That cliff hanger... I liked that Gianna was an extremely likable person. She is outgoing, funny and has a quirky attitude. Caleb is nice and he seems the best boyfriend in the end. I loved how the relationships were made and were shifting. The evolution of the plot is incredible and the romance is just so sweet. The language is also quite easy and it is defiantly a fast read.
I found it annoying at the beginning due to the arguments the protagonists were having, but overall it was an amazing book.
Go and check out this book! It is defiantly worth reading it!

Currently reading

I have finished Beware of bad boy and I am going to post a review pretty soon. Now I just started Danger Bad boy, the second book in the series, and also This shattered world. Both books are incredible and I can´t wait to write a review on them. :)

Danger Bad Boy

Danger! Bad Boy (Beware of Bad Boy #2)
THEIR LOVE IS IN DANGER....

Caleb and Gianna went from being enemies to friends to falling for each other.

This Shattered World

The second installment in the epic Starbound trilogy introduces a new pair of star-crossed lovers on two sides of a bloody war.

Jubilee Chase and Flynn Cormac should never have met.

Lee is captain of the forces sent to Avon to crush the terraformed planet's rebellious colonists, but she has her own reasons for hating the insurgents.

Rebellion is in Flynn's blood. Terraforming corporations make their fortune by recruiting colonists to make the inhospitable planets livable, with the promise of a better life for their children. But they never fulfilled their promise on Avon, and decades later, Flynn is leading the rebellion.

Desperate for any advantage in a bloody and unrelentingly war, Flynn does the only thing that makes sense when he and Lee cross paths: he returns to base with her as prisoner. But as his fellow rebels prepare to execute this tough-talking girl with nerves of steel, Flynn makes another choice that will change him forever. He and Lee escape the rebel base together, caught between two sides of a senseless war.

What are you reading right now?

July wrap up & August TBR

July wasn't the best reading month for me. I had been visiting and traveling a lot, so I didn't spend as much time reading as I wanted to. Going over that, I managed to read 3 books:
  1. The list of my boyfriends by E. Lockhart;
  2. Rush Too Far by Abbi Glines;
  3. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

In the month of August, I would love to read 4 books and maybe more, especially because it is my last full month of summer holiday and I want to take advantage of that. So here we go:
  1. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare ( I am already 200 pages in this book);
  2. Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the second book in the covenant series;
  3. After by Anna Todd;
  4. The unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
What do you plan to read this month?

What I am currently reading?

I just started Clockwork Angel which is the first book from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare.

I am something like 20 pages in the book and I am very excited. I heard a lot of great things about this series and I think there would be a lot of action and some kick-ass characters. I am really curious to find out what this book is about. I have no idea what is going to happen and I hope to write an honest review soon. This is my first Cassandra Claire book so I am to the world and her writing.

Top 6 Thursday: favorite authors

Hello, everyone! I recently saw the “Top 5 Wednesday” on Goodreads and I decided to do something similar. This is the top 6 Thursday! A weekly post where I am going to write my 6 favorites of each topic. I decided to start with my favorite writers, so let's get started...
1. Jennifer L. Armentrout
In my outlook, Jennifer L. Armentrout is the queen of writers. I love all the books I read from her series and they are fabulous. The characters are amazing and you can connect with them quite easily. The only character I couldn't really connect to is Daemon from the Lux series, maybe because I am currently reading the first book and I don't really know him. Her plot twists are incredible but at the same time you kind of know what to expect. Her books are great and she's a genius writer.
2. J. K. Rowlling
I think everyone has at least heard of Harry Potter, right? Well for me it was hard to finish the first book... I guess that is the reason why she is not the first on this list. Anyways, After I managed to read the first book I read the rest of them without a problem. I love how she created that amazing world and how reality and magic reacts. Believe me or not because of her Harry Potter series I am still waiting to receive my Hogwarts letter even if I am not 11 anymore. If you haven't read any of her books I don't know what you are waiting for!
3. Rainbow Rowell
Even if I read just Eleanor & Park, her writing had a great impact on me. I cried while reading that book... Her books are a fast great read and I think they could be a great summer read.
4. Amie Kaufman
Her writing is great, her stories are original and amazing and if someone would ever survive in space that person would certainly be her. I have only good words to say about her. She the best author to write a space story...
5. Diana Gabaldon
I just love the way she writes. The descriptions, the plot, how everything is just the way it should be... I cannot understand how she writes like that. Her story line is incredible. O MY GOD! I need more time to read her book!
6. James Patterson
He is on this list because of the “ Witch & Wizard” series. All I can say about this is WOW! How everything evolved, the plot twist which I could never in a million years imagine, the characters... This series for me screams perfection! It's true that at some times I considered part of characters annoying, this writer deserves his place here in the Top. His original and his works are fun to read.

Never too far Review

Never oo Far by Abbi Glines
The second book in The Rosemary Beach Series
Pages: 210
Format: ebook
Review: 4 / 5 stars
Goodreads description:
He had held a secret that destroyed her world.
Everything she had known was no longer true.
Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.
Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life… until something happened to send her world spinning once again.
What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?
You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out.
My opinion: I liked this book! In my opinion, it was better than the first book in the series. I am going to admit that sometimes it can become annoying how Blaire and Rush argue all the time. They are made for each other, but they arguing, at times, doesn't make it seem that way. The plot has some unexpected turns and it's well written. It was a fun summer read but I won't recommend this book to anyone younger than 15 or 16.

Sweet Evil Review

Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
The first book in The Sweet Series
Pages: 363
Format: ebook
Review: 4/5 stars
Goodreads description: Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
Writing: This book is easy to read. The way it was written would capture your attention and keep your interest during the whole book. I am not a native English speaker and I didn't struggle to read it.
Characters: The characters are well evolved. I liked how Kai always tried to protect Ana. They had perfect chemistry and their time together was enjoyable to read about and added to the story, making it a fun read. I also like the other Nephs, not only Kai and Anna. In my opinion, they weren't pushed in the shadows to make the main character shine. They were rounded characters that only made Anna's qualities and flaws more visible.
Plot: I have never read a such this. The main idea of this book is like nothing you could read anywhere else.
Overall: I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it if you like urban fantasy or if you want to try urban fantasy. I can't stand waiting to read the other books!
